h2gogo™ Ltd has announced the launch of its on-board and on-demand hydrogen generator. Designed, developed and manufactured in the UK, the h2gogo hydrogen product range can be retro-fitted to any petrol or diesel engine; from cars, transit vans, trucks, buses and HGVs, to boats, generators and plant machinery, planes and trains, and is proven to reduce emissions and overall carbon footprint, increase engine efficiency & power output, as well as offer the potential for improved fuel economy and additional cost savings.
Lean, Clean and Green
The HRN3 unit from h2gogo runs on distilled water which produces hydrogen on throttle/engine demand, eliminating the need for additional fuel storage tanks, other than a small distilled water tank. It works by injecting hydrogen into the engine’s air induction tract, at the air filter end, which then follows the standard route to the engine via intercooler and turbo.
The cycle results in the engine burning all of the fuel in the cylinder and cylinder head combustion chamber, thus reducing unwanted emissions, improving power, and potentially increasing fuel efficiency.
Having completed stringent and comprehensive testing at the Millbrook Vehicle Emissions Laboratory, the HRN3 hydrogen generator produces up to a 40% reduction in CO, HC, PM (particulate matter), NOx and CO2 emissions, resulting in exhausts that are visibly cleaner.
The HRN3 unit is set to make an impact in a number of key sectors, with one of the main benefactors being the transport industry. Intent on driving down costs, increasing engine efficiency and reducing its overall carbon footprint, the technology from h2gogo will enable these industry objectives to be achieved in an efficient and cost effective manner.
In addition to vehicle and static engines, such as plant machinery, cranes and industrial generators, the h2gogo HRN3 Marine is designed for water faring engines. The technology is available for both petrol and diesel engines and enabling potential greater fuel efficiency, thereby reducing a company’s energy costs and its overall carbon footprint.
The HRN3 hydrogen generator from h2gogo is currently being trialled with a number of key customers reliant on substantial vehicle fleets. In the continuing drive to reduce its own carbon footprint, Grundon Waste Management is undergoing rigorous trialling of the unit on three of its waste and recycling vehicles.

We have been offered many new technologies, but this one in particular caught our eye because h2gogo has invested in the product with extensive trials, proving their concept at the Millbrook Vehicle Emissions Laboratory with positive results.”
Product trials are also due to commence shortly at Heathrow Airport with BAA; Alexander Dennis, the UK’s leading bus and coach manufacturer; and with the Metropolitan Police Service in London.
